Newport × NYC · Markel Magnolia Cup 2026
An artist, creative director, equestrian, and east coaster to the bone, becoming the first American riding toward the Markel Magnolia Cup on July 30th.
About
Zoey Schorsch is an entrepreneur, athlete, and artist whose life has been shaped by three passions: creative expression, horses, and horsepower.
Raised in New York City, she grew up horse riding with her siblings and mom, exploring automotive culture alongside her father, and was immersed in theater and dance as a young performer. After earning her BFA in Musical Theater from Emerson College, she founded an emerging-artist studio and gallery in Brooklyn, producing over 40 exhibitions and events, before bringing that creative vision to the Audrain Group as their Brand Development and Sponsorship Specialist.
This summer, Zoey makes history as the first American woman to compete in the Markel Magnolia Cup at the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar. A milestone born from a lifetime of equestrian skill, her family's motorsport legacy through Audrain, and her commitment to showing up authentically as an openly gay woman in tradition-bound spaces.

The road to July 30th runs through Goodwood Racecourse in Chichester, England, where Zoey becomes the first American rider in the Markel Magnolia Cup. This year the race supports the Education Above All Foundation and its UK charity Educate A Child International, which provides quality learning to children and women in communities affected by poverty, conflict, and climate disasters.

Zoey Schorsch is a multifaceted entrepreneur, athlete, and advocate whose life has been shaped by three passions: artistic expression, horses, and horsepower. Raised in New York City, she grew up immersed in equestrian culture through her mother's passion for riding, automotive life alongside her father, and a lifelong creative practice that has taken many forms, from dance and performance to modeling and fine arts.
She went on to attend St. George's School in Newport, Rhode Island, before earning her BFA in Musical Theater from Emerson College in Boston, where she formalized creation and advocacy as a core part of who she is. After graduating, she channeled all of it into founding an emerging artist studio and gallery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, producing over 40 exhibitions, classes, and community events over three years, building a platform for underrepresented artists while developing her own expertise in creative direction, curation, and event production.
That work brought her into collaboration with Audrain, her family's Newport-based automotive museum and motorsport group, where she has helped bridge automotive heritage with contemporary creative vision as the Brand Development and Sponsorship Specialist.
This summer, Zoey will make history as the first American woman to compete in the Markel Magnolia Cup at the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar. A milestone that represents the convergence of her lifelong equestrian skill, her family's legacy in motorsport through Audrain Motorsport, and her commitment to showing up authentically as an openly gay woman and LGBTQ+ advocate in tradition-bound spaces. Having spent 1 year training in the UK with professional instruction, she brings the same philosophy to the saddle as she does to everything else: that true power, whether on four legs or four wheels, is something you work with, not against.
